Our Complete SSL Collection is a unique offer that gives you access to all current and future sound libraries in our catalog. It’s the most convenient and economical way to ensure you always have access to the latest sounds for your projects.
Over our 10 years of experience in creating sound libraries, we have significantly evolved our recording techniques. We started with Mono and STEREO microphone setups, which allowed us to capture basic but essential sounds for various applications. Over time, we upgraded our equipment to include DOUBLE MS recordings, expanding our range of sound captures and improving the quality of our libraries.
Our evolution continued with a focus on ambisonic microphone techniques, enabling us to capture immersive and enveloping sound experiences. Most recently, we have made the leap to third-order ambisonics technology, an advancement that allows us to offer an unprecedented level of quality and detail in our recordings.
Álvaro de Iscar is the principal field recordist for Surround Sound LAB. In addition to his work in field recording, he is also the founder of Blacktone Studio and Foley Collection. With a distinguished career in audio post-production, he has contributed to numerous projects across film and television. You can learn more about his work on his IMDb page.
Surround Sound LAB also benefits from contributions by other talented field recordists like Barto Alcaine, Oscar de Avila, and other friends of the project.
Each library in our catalog is recorded using different microphone techniques, which is reflected in the color of the cover. These categories are not selectable options; instead, they indicate how each library was recorded, ensuring that the product you purchase aligns with your specific production needs:
To purchase a sound library, simply select the library you’re interested in, add it to your cart, and proceed to checkout. Once your purchase is complete, you will receive an email with the files or the serials needed to license and download the library through PULSE DOWNLOADER.
Starting in October 2024, we will use PULSE DOWNLOADER for distributing our sound libraries. PULSE DOWNLOADER is an application that allows you to easily manage and download your sound libraries from a single location.
Here’s how it works:
Important: The purpose of using PULSE DOWNLOADER is to facilitate the download of the libraries, as they occupy a considerable amount of space, estimated at around 800 GB by the end of 2024. It is crucial to follow the recommended guidelines when installing the libraries to ensure a smooth and error-free installation.
Our sound libraries are available in high-quality WAV format, with a minimum of 48KHz at 24-bit. Some libraries are available in higher formats of 96KHz or even 192KHz, allowing for high fidelity and greater flexibility when manipulating audio. For ambisonic formats, all files are encoded in AmbiX format, with the ambisonic content already centered, edited, and mastered for ease of use.
For working with ambisonic content, we recommend several tools that offer powerful processing and decoding capabilities:
These are the tools we use daily in our own workflow and for mastering our sound libraries, ensuring that we achieve the highest quality results in our ambisonic productions.
Within PULSE DOWNLOADER, downloads are limited to 3 attempts. If you encounter any issues with the downloads or reach the limit and need further assistance, please contact us at our support email: surroundsoundlab@gmail.com. We’ll be happy to help.
We accept payments via credit card, PayPal, and bank transfers. All payments are secure and encrypted. If you choose to pay by bank transfer, please send the payment receipt to our support email: surroundsoundlab@gmail.com so we can process your order as soon as possible.
